This study’s aim is to identify discrepancies between experiences and supports in the Purnell’s cultural assessment model.\nJournal articles were searched for in Ichushi‒Web (Japanese medical database), CINAHL, PubMed, and medline using the 8 following keywords: \"Foreign＊ AND Famil＊ AND Japan＊ AND (intervention OR support OR Nurs＊) \" and 58 articles were analyzed. Directed content analysis was performed on the data using Purnell’s cultural assessment model as the theoretical framework. Both experiences and supports were seen in abundance in \"Communication,\"  \"Health care practices,\"  \"Family roles and organization,\" \"Health‒care practitioners,ʡʠSpiritualityʡ. At least one of the experiences and supports were not seen in \"Pregnancy,\"  \"Workforce issues,\"  \"Overview / heritage,\"  \"Nutrition,\"  \"High‒risk behaviors\" and \"overview / heritage\". Especially, many experiences were extracted in \"Pregnancy and childbearing\" area but no articles reported providing healthcare.
