Students who generally eat Japanese-style breakfasts seem to out-perform students who eat Western-style breakfasts, based on attendance records, grades and a questionnaire distributed to students in several classes at Otemae Junior College and Otemae University. Contents: The questionnaire was distributed to 24,928 male and female students over a period of 301 weeks from 1999. Approximately 90 per cent of the students ate breakfast. Among them, 35〜39 per cent of the students took Western-style breakfast including bread, and 22〜28 percent of the students took Japanese-style breakfast including rice. A survey concerning of the grades were carried out on the students with approximately perfect attendance at the classes of Otemae Junior College and Otemae University. The survey was on 27 subjects for 6 years. The average grades of the students taking Japanese-style breakfast were higher than those of the students taking Western-style breakfast on 16 subjects. On seven subjects, the average grades were the same for both the students taking Japanese-style and Western-style breakfast. It may be considered that the taking Japanese-style breakfast including rice is better than Western-style breakfast including bread.}, pages = {147--166}, title = {ご飯朝食を摂取した学生とその成績 (大手前短期大学ならびに大手前大学の事例)}, volume = {6}, year = {2006}, yomi = {ミゾグチ, タダシ} }
