The answers of open‒ended items regarding changes in the image and thoughts of nursing students were also analyzed via text mining.\nResults : We received responses from 14 people (a response rate of 100%). The 12 words that were common and frequent before and after participating in the clinical training were \"practice,\" \"communication,\" \"understanding,\" and \"learning.\" After participating in the clinical training, 18 words such as \"much,\" \"poor,\" \"weakness,\" and \"COVID-19 pandemic\" disappeared. In addition, after participating in the clinical training, there was a co‒occurring relationship between \"communication, \" \"learning,\" \"doing,\" \"environment,\" and \"need,\" and there was a change in the studentsʼ perception of communication by the practicum instructors.\nDiscussion : Participating in clinical training at a university led to a change in the perception of practicum instructors, namely that nursing studentsʼ communication skills were influenced by the learning environment rather than the COVID-19
